Bio

• Jim Munno is a Deacon at St. Mary of the Mills Catholic Church in Laurel, MD.
• EARLY LIFE:  He was baptized into the Catholic Church as a baby, but grew up with exposure to all kinds of religious congregations.  Raised as a rationalist and steeped in the sciences, his exposure to many religions and to the metaphysical led him to become a “religious cynic” who questioned much about the nature of faith and about God Himself.
• SEARCH FOR TRUTH:  In college, his love and study of science led him to search for truth wherever it could be found.  During this search, his cynicism eased to skepticism and he sought to find the Creator.
• OUR LORD’S CALL:  He eventually felt the call of the Lord to become fully engaged in the Catholic faith and some time later was ordained a deacon.  Jim loves the Church, the Scriptures, and loves to teach.
• FAMILY LIFE: Deacon Jim has been married to Anita for over 39 years and has two grown sons.
• ENJOYMENT:  Jim enjoys a wide variety of activities including anything do-it-yourself or almost anything enjoying the outdoors.
