  • ZOOM SMALL GROUP — In addition to our in-person small groups at TASTE, we will have a virtual small group for women who cannot attend in person. This is open to all women of TASTE as your regular group or on a drop-in basis. If you have not yet participated virtually, but would like to, please make sure you have the Zoom app installed on your phone, tablet or computer.  LINK  See attached NOTES.   This year's virtual small group will be Tuesdays from 10:30-11:00 facilitated by Mary Geisey and Maria Montgomery. Access the meeting via this LINK with the password: TASTE2021   The Zoom meeting invitation is attached for further options and complete instructions.  To access reflection questions and materials to prepare for small group each week, please visit LINK to download and print your copy. Completing the Reflection Questions prior to your small group meeting will greatly enhance the quality of small group discussion!
  • PARKING — As mentioned last week, no parking is allowed in the St. Mary's Elementary School parking lot at this time.  Recommendations have been updated and they include:
    • Street parking
    • Keesler Center parking lot before 9:30 since the lot will become quite crowded from that point on with those who come for the weekly food pantry pick up
    • Parking lot at the corner of Montgomery St and St. Mary’s place IS open to TASTE.  (The president of the Boys and Girls Club has authorized parking for TASTE in their parking lot.  This includes spaces marked “handicap” (w/ handicapped placard) or "Reserved for Senior Center or Phelps Center”
    • For those with limited mobility- Pallotti HS has a few spaces parallel to the curb of their drop off lane.
    • As a last resort, there is the public parking lot for the swimming pool just behind the Keesler Center and to the right
  • FACE MASKS –- Must be worn at St. Mary's Church and St. Vincent Pallotti High School.  Please bring your own.
  • PUBLIC HEALTH — If you are not feeling well the morning of TASTE, with a fever or chills, cough, respiratory issue, or other COVID symptoms, please do not attend in person. Please do the same if you have been in contact with someone who has COVID or is awaiting a test result. We will be making the talks available on our website each week.
  • BABYSITTING — Just a reminder that we are unable to offer TASTE for Tots babysitting this year because of logistics associated with COVID.  Since we know how challenging it can be to find alternative care, we hope some of our moms may be able to participate by listening to the talks on the web and perhaps even take advantage of virtual small group sharing. See above for more details.

Preparations continue for the fall semester.

  • Our Speaker Committee has been developing an awesome Speaker Line-up for the 2021/2022 year.  To see the current set of returning and new speaker pictures and bios, click HERE.
  • Our Communications Committee has been actively advertising the start of the 2021/2022 year.  Bulletin announcements have been sent to over 100 churches and our new Annual Poster and Invitation Postcard are now available HERE.  We are looking to get one of these visuals into electronic bulletins and/or Parish Email Flocknotes.
  • We have also been revamping our website and would like to introduce you to a new link that allows our women to easily view and listen to TASTE talks by Academic Year - LINK.  While many talks are now uploaded, we are working to get the remaining talks available on the web.
  • Please continue to pray for our TASTE program in general, and specifically for our speakers, our ability to provide babysitting, and that meeting at Pallotti continues to be a viable option.
  • To help us plan for this upcoming semester, please register using the registration button above.
  • We encourage you to invite a friend regardless of where they are on their faith journey.  If they are interested, please also encourage them to register.  Attached is a postcard that you can text, email, or print as an invitation to others.
