TASTE EVENTS
- LAST WEEK — We welcomed Beth Tran as she gave a talk entitled "Be the Woman God is Creating & Calling You to Be: Conquering Low Performance Purgatory with Faith-Powered Productivity." She began by taking a poll to see how many non-procrastinators there were among us, and no one raised their hand! So clearly, we are all procrastinators at some time or another. The biggest problem with procrastination is that it fosters depression, which creates a cycle of procrastination and depression feeding off each other. People who procrastinate are more likely to sleep poorly, to eat poorly, to feel anxious, which can lead to feelings of depression. Beth calls this downward spiraling a low performance pattern. There are other such patterns like poor time or energy management, lack of focus, failure to prioritize, poor communication skills, depending on others for direction. The good news Beth taught us is that we can escape these patterns and turn them into “faith-powered productivity.” ... MORE

OTHER EVENTS / INTEREST ITEMS
- ELECTION / MD AMENDMENT — Some months ago, one of our speakers (Deborah Brocato) gave us an incredibly insightful talk on an Amendment to our Maryland Constitution which is being voted on in this election. She provided a wealth of information with the bottom line being that we should Vote "NO" on Question 1 (Reproductive Freedom) in order to preserve parental rights, protect children, and prevent taxpayer funding. As a refresher, we are providing two links — one for her TALK and one for the HealthNoHarmMD LINK.
- OCT / NOV EVANGELIZATION DRAMA — "Back from the Dead Cemetery Walk" is an engaging and inspiring "evangelization drama" to help teach the Catholic faith about the "Last Things" including teachings on the Communion of Saints, the angels, and the three great virtues: faith, hope and charity, at the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Shrine in Emmitsburg. Tickets are still available for Nov 2nd. See LINK.
- NOVEMBER CONFERENCE — St. Mark's Church in Catonsville is hosting a Maryland Catholic Women's Conference called "Joyful Journey — Exploring the Beatitudes" on Saturday, November 9th from 8:30 am - 4:00 pm. See FLYER.
- YOUTH JUBILEE 2025 — Young women ages 18-35 are invited to attend this Youth Jubilee from July 21-Aug 4, 2025. See LINK
