Dear Ladies and Friends of TASTE,
- Damon Owens gave a talk entitled "Unequally Yoked: Getting the Marriage You Want from the Marriage You Have." We met virtually for the first time this TASTE season because of the threat of icy weather. Damon gave a wonderful and inspiring talk on marriage, as a sacrament of healing and unity. We all bring our personal histories into the marriage, and the more we are able to sort out our personal wounds from our partner, the richer the marriage can grow. God has entrusted us with marriage. As such, marriage is rightly understood as preparation for heaven and the wedding of Jesus Christ with his Church. Marriage is a type, a sign pointing us to the eternal marriage with Christ. Beyond some of these beautiful images, Damon gave us some practical advice as well in order to achieve "epic intimacy."
- While we missed seeing everyone in person for TASTE, we are so grateful that so many women were able to hear the talk live on-line this past week. As a reminder, we try to wait until close to our meeting to get the most current read of the weather before making a decision. In light of this, whenever the weather is questionable, we send out an email. LINK

We continue to hear of many people getting COVID. As a reminder, if anyone is not feeling well, experiencing COVID or other symptoms, or has had a close contact with someone who tested positive for COVID, we ask you not attend, but take advantage of listening to the talk on our website typically available the morning after the talk. For symptoms, see this website.

SPECIAL REMINDERS
- PRAYER REQUESTS — Several of our TASTE sisters need our prayers.
- It is with a heavy heart that we share three losses:
- Sr. Mary Michael Fox's sister Chris Fox passed away on January 17th on the feast of Our Lady of Hope. The family asked us to pass along their gratitude for all of the prayers that have been offered for Chris and their family. At this time, please pray for the repose of Chris Fox's soul and the grieving family.
- Paula Gentile's husband Nino lost his battle with cancer and kidney disease. Please pray for the repose of his soul and for God to comfort Paula and her family.
- Kathy Donnelly lost her son, Andrew, on Wednesday, January 19th. Please pray for the repose of Andrew's soul and for consoling graces to be poured out upon Kathy, her husband, John, and their family.
- Please also pray for:
- All our TASTE sisters, especially Kate Christianson, Katylee McInerney, Geraldine Broglio (complete healing from hand surgery), and Kay Robinson (Jennifer's D's mom)
- Our spiritual director, Fr. Larry Swink as well as all of the priests in the Baltimore and Washington Archdioceses, especially those of whom you may have spiritually adopted.
- Our speakers and their families — especially: 1) Theresa Bonapartis for healing of her back, 2) Susan Conroy for her health, and 3) Colleen Duggan and her baby, who the doctors are saying has a 90% chance of having Downs syndrome.
- Supreme Court Justices — Please let us all pray today for wisdom, strength, and courage for our Supreme Court Justices and for Life to be victorious.
