Dearest Ladies of TASTE,

We pray that you had a blessed Octave of Easter culminating in the celebration of Divine Mercy Sunday. This was the 20th anniversary of the feast day in its current location on the Church calendar, the second Sunday of Easter.  Scott Hahn likes to create a word picture with the phrase, "standing in the stream of Salvation History."  We have certainly experienced the pull of the current as devotion to the Divine Mercy message has grown in these last 20 years.

I (Carolyn) am grateful that I came to know about the Divine Mercy Chaplet about 3 years earlier.  I eagerly anticipated the canonization of Sr. Maria Faustina Kowalska on the second Sunday of Easter, April 20, 2000.  Not only did Pope St. John Paul II institute the Divine Mercy Feast on that day, but he also made St. Faustina the first saint of the new millennium.   What a wonderful time for us to be standing in the stream of salvation history!

We are thrilled to inform you that this week we have a new TASTE talk for you! Susan Brinkmann had been on our schedule for some time, and she did not let a pandemic dissuade her.  Thank you Karen Giermek and Sue Brinkmann for bringing a little taste of "normal" back to us.
