March 8, 2020
Dear Ladies of TASTE,
Like many of you, we have been monitoring the Coronavirus outbreak around the world and now even in our own state. As the virus continues to spread and the CDC makes more testing kits available, the number of people testing positive is sure to grow. Because of this, we have identified proactive steps to protect all our women of TASTE and especially those who are older or have underlying health conditions.
- As you know, we have always encouraged our women to introduce themselves to one another and to greet each other with a warm hug. While we still want to encourage a warm and friendly greeting, we also want to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus. To this end, we encourage you to replace these hugs with waves, elbow taps, and/or putting your hands together in prayer and nodding. CARTOON
- Additionally, if you feel ill, are exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms, and/or have been exposed to someone with the virus, please stay home and listen to the talk on-line. (So glad we now have this available!)
- Finally and as usual, protect yourself and others by vigilant hand-washing, cover your entire mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing, preferably into your elbow, and avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands. This will protect you and others not only from Coronavirus, but other issues as well.
